I haven't been up to Curtis this year (2008), but
apparently there is a new user created roadway developing from the
parking area westward up to the launch area. Paraglider pilots have
been observed driving rigs on it. The Forest Service Recreation Program
Manager asked me to help get the word out to remind pilots to stay on
designated roads, don't make new roads, and don't drive on new roads
such as this one that are unauthorized travel routes.
Please refrain from driving off road in the Curtis Cyn area so we can retain our good relationship with the FS with this site.
Thanks! Kevin |

Pilots - 1000' over the top of the hill (8800') still in effect - they mean it. Last night the lift manager chased down an offending
pilot (by hauling ass into Karns after the pilot landed) and has pulled
the pilot's lift access, don't be next....
Help me go to bat for ya'll here,
I can try to get the 1000' reduced to something a little more
reasonable - what are the official lift clearances at the Village? at
Targhee? at other resorts that people have flown at??? |
