Haystack Butte Site Detail

Haystack Butte is good when it is too west to fly Nelson's. Although it is not hiked often it is a great area to head to if flying from Nelson's To hike you can park at the head of Leaks Canyon (first canyon after the High School road stop light.) After parking on the road you can hike up the NW ridge of Haystack weaving in and out of trees and the west face. One can also park at the end of Adam's Road (the recycling center) and side hill across Haystack. There are places to bench up but be aware of the high power lines midway up the face.
